Three bespoke contemporary homes located on the former Driffields Brick Works, Haxby.
The development includes a bungalow and two large dwellings that overlook two large ponds, which were left to flood naturally once the brickworks closed.
The dwellings, designed to facilitate modern family living, are orientated to ensure uninterrupted views across the ponds whilst maintaining a significant number of mature trees on site.
The mass echoes that of surrounding properties with a ridge profile stepping from 1.5 storeys up to 2 storeys, reducing the impact of the development on surrounding properties. Use of a grey/brown brick and timber allows the dwellings to blend in with the local landscape.
The Vincent & Brown team submitted an application for planning consent in August 2020.
