Poppleton Methodist Church - Phase 2 Complete

Poppleton Methodist Church sees the results following years of planning & fundraising as their new Church Hall is revealed.

The parish council wanted to rejuvenate the Church situated on The Green in Poppleton to help meet the needs of the community. The updates in phase 2 include a new hall with a retractable stage for performances. The Hall can now operate independently from the Church with it's own dedicated toilets, tea & coffee points and storage facilities. The construction also included the introduction of an air source heat pump and highly insulated timber framed construction to improve it's sustainability status. The results are impressive.

Phases 3 & 4 will make the remainder of the building entirely wheel chair accessible and will include within a central hub a community café, larger kitchen and dedicated meeting rooms. Watch this space for more updates.

Vincent & Partners were appointed to redesign and refurbish Poppleton Methodist Church on the outskirts of York. Situated on the village green and within a conservation area, the building was in need of extensive alterations to provide additional floorspace, to fulfil the diverse and growing needs of its active parishioners.
