Holtby Planning Approval

Planning approval granted for a new-build detached dwelling following the demolition of an existing bungalow.
Vincent & Brown’s proposal for a detached dwelling in Holtby has received planning consent.
The site located on Main Street is currently occupied by an existing bungalow known as Costa Lot which within the proposed scheme is to be demolished as part of the development.
The development includes for a spacious 5-bedroom detached dwelling with a detached garage and new vehicular access on a site within the heart of Holtby.
The design of the dwelling has been informed by its proposed position between two listed properties. The footprint of the dwelling takes reference from the existing bungalow in terms of being set-back on the plot as to not detract from the setting of the listed buildings either side. The dwelling is designed in a sympathetic and simple style with the use of traditional materials and brick detailing to ensure a contextual approach is taken with the design referring to the existing dwellings either side and opposite on Main Street.
The application was submitted in September 2021 following various schemes being produced for the site and with Vincent & Brown working closely with the Applicant, Local Planning Authority, the Parish Council and Local Residents to achieve planning consent for a scheme that was supported all-round.
